My Story: A Journey Through Words

Born in 1966 in the charming town of Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, I entered the world as the eldest of twins. I spent my formative years in Bovenkarspel before eventually settling in Purmerend, which I now call home.

My journey as an author began in 2010 with the publication of Little Hill, a suspenseful children’s book written for readers up to the age of 14.

Life, however, has a way of shifting our focus. In 2012, I fell ill, and as I began my recovery around 2014, I found solace and purpose in writing my first thriller: The Mindscape Experiment. After navigating some challenging life events, I returned to the manuscript in 2024. It has been an incredible journey to see it evolve into the gripping novel it is today, a project I am immensely proud of.

With The Mindscape Experiment complete, I am now fully immersed in my second thriller, The Forbidden Legacy. It is shaping up to be another edge-of-your-seat experience, and I am aiming to cross the finish line by 2027. But I’m not stopping there; the blueprints for a third thriller are already waiting in the wings, promising even more suspense to come.

Creativity clearly runs in the family. My twin brother, Ben, is also a talented writer and is currently working on his own thriller. We are even collaborating on a joint project together, stay tuned, because it promises to be something special.
